The United Way's VITA volunteer recruitment for the 2022 tax season is currently underway!
The United Way's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a no-cost, income tax service provided to households that make less than $60,000 annually. We rely on a wonderful group of volunteers to offer this program, all of whom we train for an IRS certification in tax preparation, so no prior skills are necessary beyond basic computer skills and an interest to learn. VITA Volunteers have the chance to connect with and help their neighbors by giving them access to financial resources and educating them about taxes so they can make informed decisions. Our team of volunteers is supported by full-time staff and seasoned volunteers. VITA volunteers find bringing financial stability to their communities a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
If you are interested in helping your community, please visit Liveunitedm-i.org - Volunteer page.
