Interesting Tidbits of "The Wizard of Oz":
Author L. Frank Baum penned the famous books of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" beginning in 1900 and wrote a total of 14 books. The "Wizard of Oz" film is based on the story "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". The first version, made as an American silent fantasy film, lasted 13 minutes and debuted March 24, 1910. The cinema screen version was filmed at MGM Studios in Culver City, California and opened in theatres on August 25, 1939. The 75th anniversary of that famous and phenomenal epic film was celebrated in 2014.
