For your convenience, the Ionia Theatre has upgraded our hearing and visual assistance options. We offer several devices and services to support your hearing and visual assistance needs while enjoying films at the Ionia Theatre.
- Assistive Listening - Wireless headsets can be provided for enhanced film audio.
- Closed Captioning - Captioning devices are available to be placed in the cupholder of your seat.
- Audio Description - For those with visual impairments, we stream audio description tracks to our wireless headsets when they are encoded with a film. Review the Master List of Audio Described Videos online from the American Council of the Blind to see if an audio description track is available. Most major releases provides these tracks, but you can also check with Theatre staff to see if one is available.
All our devices may be borrowed free of charge but please be prepared to leave your ID with the box office to check out a device. Visit the box office or ask a Theatre staff member if you need assistance or have any questions about the available hearing and visual assistance options.
