CITY OF IONIA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ON THE ADOPTION OF A DEVELOPMENT AND TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR THE CITY OF IONIA
PURSUANT TO AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 57 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OF 2018, AS AMENDED

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing will be held before the Ionia City Council on December 4, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Ionia City Hall, 114 North Kidd Street, Ionia, on the adoption of a Development and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Plan for the Local Development Finance Authority of the City of Ionia. The Plan was created according to the provisions of the Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act, Public Act 57 of 2018, as amended (Act 57), to facilitate public infrastructure improvements detailed in the Plan. The City of Ionia Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA) recommends approval of the Development and TIF Plan.

The proposed plan applies to property in the LDFA District, which is commonly known as the Orchard View Industrial Park, located on Apple Tree Drive, east of M-66. The LDFA Development and TIF Plan (PDF) is available for public inspection online or at the City Manager’s office, 114 North Kidd Street, Ionia. The Plan does not propose the displacement or relocation of any individuals or families, since there are no residents within the Orchard View Industrial Park.

All interested persons and affected taxing jurisdictions levying taxes subject to capture are invited to attend this meeting to express their views and present information relevant to the Development and TIF Plan. All aspects of the Plan will be open for discussion at the public hearing.

The City of Ionia complies with the "Americans with Disabilities Act." If auxiliary aids or services are required at a public meeting for individuals with disabilities, please contact Mary Patrick, City Clerk, at least three (3) business days prior to any such meeting.
