Election Office Hours

City Clerk Election Office Hours will be held on Saturday, November 1 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the Clerk's Office at City Hall. City Hall is located at 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, MI 48846. These office hours are intended for any election-related business.

Absentee Ballots

All requested absentee ballots have been mailed to voters on the permanent ballot list and those whom have submitted an absentee ballot application for this election. Please note: ballots are mailed to your permanent residence unless you contacted the Clerk's Office 40 days before the election to request your ballot to be sent to an alternate address. Official election mail cannot be forwarded to a different address. If you have mail forwarding setup through the Post Office, the ballot will be returned to the City. Ballots must be returned to the Clerk's Office by November 4th at 8:00 PM. Ensure you provide ample time if you are mailing your ballot back to the City, or you may return it using the election drop box in front of City Hall at 114 N. Kidd Street.

Election Day Reminders

Polls will be open, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 7:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M., at the Ionia Armory Community Center for City residents who wish to vote in person. An accessible entrance is located on the southeast side of the building at 439 W. Main Street. Same-day voter registration will be available at the Armory in the first-floor conference room on Election Day but wait times should be expected. The Clerk's Office will be moved temporarily to the Armory on November 3rd and 4th to assist with all election-related business.

You may confirm the Clerk's Office receipt of your absentee ballot online using the Michigan Voter Information Center.
