NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Ordinance No. 601 — Create Section 1274.10 “Parking as an Accessory Use to an Adjacent Lot” and amend Section 1260 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Ionia, Michigan

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held in the Council Chambers, Ionia City Hall, 114 N. Kidd Street, Ionia, Michigan, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 4:30 PM at a meeting of the Planning Commission, to receive comments on Ordinance No. 601. If approved, this ordinance will allow parking as an accessory special land use to an adjacent lot within the B-3, General Business District. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation on the ordinance to the City Council.

The City of Ionia complies with the "Americans with Disabilities Act." If auxiliary aids or services are required at a public meeting for individuals with disabilities, please contact Jonathan Bowman, City Clerk, at least three (3) business days prior to any such meeting. The following is a summary of the proposed ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 1260, SECTION 1260.03 AND ENACT A NEW SECTION 1274.10 ENTITLED “PARKING AS AN ACCESSORY USE TO AN ADJACENT LOT” OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF IONIA.
